Responsibilities:
- Implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play and structured activities
- Monitor and assess each child's progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and milestones
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in early childhood education, nanny, children in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing situations
Skills:
- Educate: Ability to teach and educate preschool-aged children using age-appropriate methods and materials.
- First Aid: Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond to medical emergencies.
- Caregiving: Experience providing care for young children, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
- Daycare: Familiarity with the operations and regulations of a daycare facility.
- Behavior Management: Ability to manage challenging behaviors in a positive and effective manner.
- Toddler Care: Knowledge of appropriate care practices for toddlers, including feeding, potty training, and safety precautions.
- Childhood Development: Understanding of the stages of childhood development and how to support growth in various areas.
- Childcare: Knowledge of best practices in childcare, including safety protocols, hygiene practices, and age-appropriate activities.
