We are actively looking for a Junior Coastal Engineer to join our Coastal team in Raleigh,NC; New York, New York, or any of our East coast offices.
As part of the Coastal Group, this position will assist in the planning and design for urban waterfront and coastal projects, including marinas, marine terminals, urban waterfront developments, cruise ship facilities, wetland restoration, modeling and analysis, dredging, shore protection structures, and flood walls.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Coastal or Ocean engineering 1 – 4 years of experience as a Coastal Engineer; required EIT certification; preferred Software experience required; ADCIRC & SWANN proficiency required Coastal modeling software; preferred FEMA and SMS experience are a plus Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171 Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.

and to present the required documentation at hire Base salary range: $41 to $51 per hour based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.
Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the New York City market.
Working conditions: General office environment Physical requirements: Sedentary for long periods of time.
Ability to use standard office equipment.
May travel to another office on occasion.
