The Opportunity:

The Role:
The Software Customer Service Specialist (known internally as Subsidiary Products Specialist) is responsible for handling, trouble shooting, documenting issues, training customers, and following up on incidents relating to software and services for customers using PBS’ Subsidiary Software Products.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Register and classify received incidents and undertake immediate action to resolve customer’s software issues as quickly as possible
• Escalate issues to Tier 2 support if no ad-hoc solution can be achieved
• Keep users informed about their escalations/incident’s status at agreed intervals
• Progressive cross-training across multiple Dealer Management System software packages
• Once cross-trained for primary product, PBS V10, travel to dealership sites to install and train software for new users
• Available to be on call for 4 hours on Saturday morning for after-hours support on a rotational basis
• Adoption and adherence to all departmental and corporate values
Qualifications
• Previous customer service or dealership experience will be considered an asset
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• Analytical skills including trouble shooting, problem solving and resolution recommendations
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong documentation abilities
• Effective time management and organization skills
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Willingness to commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training
• High school diploma
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and passport
Work Conditions/Environment:
• Position based in our Spanish Fort (Alabama) office.
This is not a remote or hybrid position.
• Travel up to 50% of the time (2 weeks per month) in US and Canada
• Available to work occasionally Saturday and/or Sunday due to travel schedule
