Senior Dispatcher

Responsibilities: - Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods - Utilize transportation management systems such as Motive to track shipments and optimize routes - Negotiate rates with customers to optimize profit - Monitor freight movements using GPS technologies - Resolve any issues or delays in delivery by proactively communicating with drivers and customers - Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and update relevant databases -Meet profit goals with weekly reports - Provide exceptional customer service through effective phone etiquette and problem-solving skills Requirements: - Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a similar logistics role - Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes - Familiarity with transportation management systems such as SyteLine or Oracle Transportation Management - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment - Proficient in using GIS and GPS technologies for tracking shipments - Attention to detail and strong organizational skills -Proficient in excel Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
