Medical Front Desk Scheduler/Insurance Verification Clerk

USA Baldwin County ASC is seeking a Registrar/Verification/Scheduler to join our Team GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Responsible for working Front Desk at a busy surgical facility with several providers.
Duties to include but limited to checking in, checking out, calling patients, among several other tasks.
He/She will be an integral part of our Front Desk Team and will be valued as a key member of our organization.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Office Manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Answer all incoming calls Checking patients in at the front desk.
Verification of medical insurance benefits.
Collect deductibles, coinsurance, copayments from patient Complete all necessary paperwork for each procedure on the physicians’ schedule.
Must be capable of multi-tasking and working with a diverse patient population.
Other duties as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED 2 years of previous experience scheduling appointments and front desk work in a medical office/hospital setting Experience with medical insurance verification and authorizations for medical procedures SKILLS: Skill in gathering and reporting claim information.
Experience in a medical office as a receptionist or insurance verification coordinator.
Fast and accurate data entry.
Service oriented, patient demeanor.
Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and deliver results.
