Springhill Medical Center is a full service hospital serving southwest Alabama.
Our surgical services include outpatient, inpatient, open-heart and robotic surgery.
The hospital is equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment, meaning doctors have advanced technology to help them quickly determine a patient's health problem.
Springhill's unique heart center offers state-of-the-art services all under one roof.
The campus is also home to primary care physicians, a senior residence, sleep center, cancer center, orthopaedic surgery center, wound care & hyperbaric center, and an emergency department staffed by all board-certified emergency medicine physicians.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Full-time- Day shift, 7:00am- 3:30pm- every third weekend and Holidays as needed.
Performs tests and analyze samples according to established procedures.
Responsible for patient specimens from receipt in the lab, through preparation and processing, and ultimately through data analysis and result interpretation.
Perform sample testing, proficiency, and quality control analysis.
Use both automated and manual analytical methods to perform daily job duties.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
We are a drug free facility.
Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Education Requirements:
B.
S.
in Medical Laboratory Science or B.
A.
in Medical Laboratory Technician
Meets the CLIA standards for moderate and high complexity testing under CFR 493.

Certification:
ASCP is not required but preferred.
