About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for completing assigned maintenance work orders for residential customers by performing general maintenance and repair of appliances, buildings, and equipment with strong customer service skills.
What you'll be doing
Performs preventative maintenance tasks related to HVAC, equipment, and maintenance systems.
Performs make ready tasks per the company s change of occupancy management checklist prior to the resident s move in.
Responds to and completes assigned work orders in a professional, timely manner while adhering to the company s exceptional living customer service standards.
Adheres to sound safety and housekeeping practices following ZERO Harm journey plan.
Participates in on-call, emergency after hours rotation as scheduled by management
Typical Physical Demands: Regularly use hands to manipulate tools, controls, phones, and computer keyboard.
Frequently stand, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, and stoop.
Sit and stand to do clerical work.
Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 lbs.
Work is performed in an office.
Employee frequently interacts directly with community management, facilities management, residents, and other staff members during the workday.
Who we're looking for
High School Diploma or GED
Preference will be given to technical school trainings or certifications
Minimum of one (1) year of maintenance related experience.
Multifamily /student housing property maintenance experience preferred.
Basic knowledge of residential property facilities management.
EPA Type 1, Type 2 and/or Universal Certified preferred.
CPO Certified preferred.
Must be available for night/weekend emergency call duty.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and general use of a smartphone.
Experience with property management software preferred.
Candidates should be willing to obtain Certified Apartment Service Technician (American National Standards Institute) professional designation within one year of hire.
Possession of a valid state issues driver s license and safe driving record are required
