*Job Title:* Local Clinical Specialist, LPN or RN, DEP, D3 *Purpose of Position/Summary:* The Public Health Nurse position aims to provide nursing care services to Indiana residents in adherence to infection control practices outlined by the CDC, CMS, and state regulations.
This role is essential during periods of heightened patient volume or emergencies.
*Essential Duties/Responsibilities:* * Administer onsite point-of-care services including vaccinations and testing, while adhering to agency policies and procedures.
* Maintain proficiency in nursing skills, complete required trainings, and uphold all necessary licensure and certifications.
* Ensure confidentiality of patient information and complete accurate documentation of care provided.
* Attend staff and division meetings as required.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
*Job Requirements:* * LPN license required; RN license preferred.
* Proficient in infection control practices, vaccinations, point-of-care testing, and phlebotomy.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Competence in using computer equipment and software for data management.
* Possession and maintenance of a valid Indiana Driver’s License.
* Availability to work before and after standard hours, including weekends.
* Professional demeanor and ability to remain composed in stressful situations.
* Commitment to public health mission.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
*Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:* Not applicable *Difficulty of Work:* Requires travel throughout assigned region of Indiana.
Willingness to respond to surges in patient demand and potential overnight stays.
*Responsibility:* Conducting health assessments, providing vaccinations, testing, offering health education, and providing treatment and care within diverse populations while adhering to state and federal regulations.
*Personal Work Relationships:* Collaboration with agency personnel, stakeholders, and the general public.
Emphasis on exceptional customer service.
*Physical Effort:* * Ability to operate a motor vehicle and drive long distances.
* Involves walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and lifting items up to 20 lbs.
* Keen observational and hearing skills required for alertness to possible dangers.
*Working Conditions:* * Work may occur outdoors in various weather conditions.
* Adherence to infection control practices and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during outbreak responses.
